After finishing my 12th grade, I went to Christ University, Bangalore for college. It was an extremely difficult experience because it was the first time I was away from home, and the demands of the new college were immense. It was really hard to make new friends. At this time, I started losing a lot of weight and performing badly in my academics.
The one thing I did that changed my college experience for the better was dancing. I joined a dance team that helped me relieve my stress, bring up my grades, and instilled a sense of belongingness. My closest friends were also part of my dance team. I am glad I engaged in such a healthy way to cope with my stress. The next three years of my college life were easy-breezy.
